Letter from Jenny Davidson to the Segals 4/21/99 Dear Jim and Yoyo, Thank you both so much for the book and present. It means a lot to me, the book in particular. I must have had three or four conversations with Anton about the death described in the preface - he was a person with very unusual wisdom about love, death and how to live life in the fullest. Really, the Little Prince (or as he would have said it, with a funny French accent, "le petit prince"). I was very moved by the Memorial service, especially by seeing what a wonderful community of friends Anton created - I especially enjoyed conversations with Steve Yi, Chris Bell and Sam Archer, none of whom I'd met before but all of whom made me feel very welcome. I so appreciate the immense love and effort on your part that went into making the Memorial a gift of love, not just of grieving - Anton would have been proud of you, there is so much of him in you both… Please stay in touch, I feel that there is so much we didn't even get a chance to talk about. I'd love to hear what Erica and Laurie are doing etc. I'll write to keep you posted on what's going on with me, and you two have to stay in touch and let me know if there's ever anything I can do for you. Love, Jenny |
