Letter from Hannah Reddick to the Segals

5/17/99

I just thought that I would e-mail you guys to say "hello". A little while ago I went to Anton' s site on the web. I spent literally hours at it, going through every single picture and letter. Although, I never met him, I feel closer to him and your family. I felt a tremendous loss, as I am sure you did as well. However, I felt so refreshed. It must have been so incredible to have such an amazing human being part of your life. I know that I'm not the only one who has been touched by him. His story has affected the way I have chosen to live my life. If only I can have a fraction of the adventures and knowledge Anton did, then this goal shall be fulfilled.

I'm already making plans for New Year's 2000. Three of my closest friends and I have chosen to go to Paris. We will stay with a friend who is currently enrolled at the Sorbonne. After we hit the city of lights, we are going (train, plane?) to one of the girls home's in Provence. I'm sure our itinerary will fall into place. Our biggest challenge now is getting reservations for the plane ride over.

My father seems OK with the trip, but my mother is going to FREAK OUT!!!! Oh, and I didn't tell you…this June I'm leaving for 3 ˝ weeks to go to Europe, again. Our group is a Humanities class from Leon High School. We are going to London, Paris, Munich, Austrian Alps, Florence, Rome, Venice and Sorrento. I got my suitcase yesterday! It's gettin so close!! Laurie is helping me plan a rendezvous with Sudi and Payam.

Well, I just wanted to say hi and share with you what is going on in my life right now. Summer's here and I hope you're going to enjoy it.

Peace and Health,

Hannah
